Preaching Today exits to encourage and stimulate both listeners and preachers about preaching. We are based in South Wales (UK) and currently run half day conferences and workshops.

Bethlehem Evangelical Church Aberavon

"Preaching Christ from all of Scripture"

Speaker: Steve Levy (Swansea)

The next PreachingToday conference will be taking place on March 7th 2009. This will be our 16th conference and we will be holding this at our usual venue of Bethlehem Evangelical Church Aberavon SA12 6NE. Therefore, we are particularly pleased that Rev Steve Levy has agreed to speak to us on "Preaching Christ from all of Scripture"

Steve Levy is known to many throughout Wales and is the minister of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Swansea. Dale Ralph Davis described Steve as "having an itch for the Bible and he's itching to get the Bible into your blood. He holds that the Bible delights in Jesus - and can't wait for you to share that delight". His book "Bible Overview" is a great resource and encouragement in studying God's word.

This conference is an opportunity to share in this passion and challenge and we hope you will be able to join us on March 7th. Please encourage others to join with you as we have opportunity to study God's word.

Details

Registration is from 9.30am and the first session starts 10.00am and we finish around 1.00pm. There is no pre booking - just turn up on the day. There is a small administration charge for this conference of £5 to cover the costs of materials and conference expenses. The sessions will be recorded and available to purchase on CD

A bookstall will also be available




 

Why Preaching Today?

Preaching is vital, because:

"faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ"
Rom 10:17

Preaching is the primary method God has given us to get the "word of Christ" out into the world:

"how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"
Rom 10:14

So understanding what preaching is, and making sure it is done the way God wants it done, is terribly important.
